Trust Automation is hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Summary

Design robust, high quality motion control systems, electrical power generation/conversion systems and motors. Integrate the physical design requirements (structural, thermal, shielding, criticality and operations) and manufacturing aspects to produce designs that meet all applicable requirements for the form, fit and function. 

 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • 5-7 years' experience in the mechanical and electromechanical design, analysis, development and testing of electric motors (actuators, mechanisms, powertrains, structures, tooling, fixtures). MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE; NO STUDENTS/RECENT GRADUATES
  • SolidWorks experience
  • 3D CAD modeling, 2D drawing packages
  • Experience with the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), vibration, structural, thermal, CFD and mechanical analysis, and system simulation tools (MATLAB, SIMULINK) 
  • Experience with ANSI standards and MIL-STD specifications 
  • Experience with documentation release process and configuration management
  • Knowledge of materials and demonstrated experience in material selection
  • Available for travel to provide onsite customer support (presentations and fault finding) as required
  • Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations 
  • Must possess a sense of team work, respect for other's efforts and a "can-do attitude"
  • Exhibit proactive attitude towards upholding quality standards, with a drive for continuous improvement and a dedication to providing customer satisfaction
