Trust Automation is a fast growing company in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are seeking a Help Desk Associate/Network Administrator to join our team. THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION. Please do not apply if you are seeking full-time work.

Summary

This position provides the technical support assisting end users with their day-to-day basic technical duties and issues by phone, email and in person.  

Responsibilities & Requirements 

Activities include first-level troubleshooting computer workstation software and hardware, telephone, network, operating systems, printing and internet access problems. Properly escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support. Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process Perform basic updates, repairs, upgrades, backups and other maintenance tasks. Install, configure, and support the organization's networks. Maintain systems, applications, security and network configurations. Maintain firewalls, switches, routers and network hardware. Resolve connectivity issues and service disruptions.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Information Technology required
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in a Help Desk/Network Support role
  • Basic working knowledge of Windows OS7 and 10, Windows Server 2008 and 2012 and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge in networking, routing and switching, firewalls, virus protection
  • Proficient in setting up PC's, laptops, tablets, printers, workstations, computer peripherals, file sharing and software applications
  • Proficient in performing configuration, installations, upgrades and backup/recovery
  • Experience tracking problems and resolutions using a help-ticket system
  • Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a way non-technical staff can understand
  • Strong customer service skills, tact, and diplomacy
