Trust Automation is a fast growing company in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are seeking an experienced Electronics Assembler/Solderer to join our team.

Summary
This role performs electronic assembly, surface mount and through-hole component replacement, repairs and modifications and repairs to PCB's. 
 

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Work from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to build, repair or modify assemblies, sub-assemblies and components
  • Perform surface mount and through-hole soldering, sometimes under a microscope
  • Connect component lead wires and wires between components and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points
  • Perform rework, repairs and quality testing in accordance with appropriate Quality Standards and industry soldering practices
  • Inspect work to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Accurately enter/document all work performed on product within the ERP system to ensure accurate recording of inventory consumed and work performed
A successful candidate will have:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • An Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering 
  • 2-3 years experience performing electronic assembly and soldering 
  • IPC, J-STD soldering certification is a plus
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard engineering documentation such as: schematics, BOM's, wiring diagrams, mark-ups and assembly drawings
  • Surface mount rework skills
  • Single, multi-layer, and through hole soldering skills
  • Ability to remove and replace fine pitch components (E.g. TSOP, QFP, SOIC) without damage to the PCB or components.
  • Consistently produce high work quality
