Trust Automation is a fast growing company in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are seeking a MASTER PRODUCTION SCHEDULER to join our team.

This role is focused on developing, planning, scheduling and coordinating production cycles. Responsible for providing and maintaining the master production schedule, consistent with capacity and sales forecast. The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times, resource requirements and resource constraints; adjusts capacity plans accordingly. Analyzes and reports on metrics including actual customer demand, trends and forecasts. Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Understand capacity management relationship to MRP, work with work center input and output loading. Establish, measure, monitor and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules.
  • Determine available capacity before planned orders are released.
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning and production activity control.
  • Understand capacity management relationship to MRP; manage work center input and output loading. Resolve differences between work center loads and available capacity. Measure and utilization and efficiency of work stations.
  • Strong collaboration with the Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Materials Management to determine weekly forecast and develop capacity models to improve accuracy.
  • Translate projected forecasts, volume and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
  • Schedule demand based on product mix and provide accurate commitment dates.
  • Assemble master schedule reporting regarding the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan and the production plan.
  • Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production schedules to meet customer demand, calculate production lead times,
  • Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.
  • Analyze production floor status through input/output reporting; establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Accredited 4-year degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain
  • APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • 5 years' experience as a Master Scheduler, Production Planner or Supply Chain Manager with extensive demonstrated success of implementing and operationalizing master schedule
  • Capable of utilizing spreadsheet and leveraging ERP software in managing the planning process
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment process
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels to enable and champion change and continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
  • Must possess a sense of team work, respect for other's efforts and a can-do attitude
